Essential History Resources
The New Testament, Greece, and Rome History Schedule uses a variety of resources to provide a intriguing look at the relationship of the ancient peoples with the history described in the Bible. VP History Cards and Guerber's The Story of the Greeks and Story of the Romans look more intently at the history portrayed in the Old Testament. Whereas Bauer's The Story of the World Vol. 1 focuses more on the cultures of the Middle East, India, and China. The books listed in this section are necessary for completing the schedule and will be used throughout the year.

Geography Resources
Geography with History: New Testament, Greece, and Rome takes a closer look at the time when the mighty civilizations of Greece and Rome developed and grew. The student explores the lands of Ancient Greece, Rome, Canaan, and some of the surrounding territories. They make connections between the history told in the Bible, and how it interacts with the history of the ancient world. They get glimpses of the amazing architecture of the Roman Empire, powerful rulers, and angry barbarians. As they explore the history of the ancient world, students systematically cover each of the 18 standards developed by the Geography Education Standards Project. Geography Songs uses songs to encourage the child to memorize all the countries, capitals, and oceans around the world. Uncle Josh's Outline Map Book provides blackline maps needed to complete the mapping exercises in the Geography with History lessons. Choose between the print version and the CD-ROM version.

Writing Resources
Writing with History: New Testament, Greece, and Rome uses the history topics studied in Story of the World, VP History Cards, Story of the Greeks, and Story of the Romans and integrates them with writing lessons. These writing lessons equip the child to incrementally improve their writing throughout the year. The child begins to identify the parts of speech and use descriptive, powerful words instead of weak, bland words. In short, they learn to communicate their thoughts, ideas, and imaginations more clearly throughout the writing lessons. The History Copybooks, which are available in two levels, provide handwriting practice while the child copies ancient writings, Scripture verses, poems, and passages
