None of the items listed below are essential to the learning experience of the child. The experiments and activities in the schedules will
provide more than enough activities and experiments without these items. With that said, these are fun activities to consider if your child
has an interest. The Molecular Model Set, the Crystal Mining, and the Buckyball are mentioned in the schedules, but again, they are not
necessary.

This level of science includes an overview of Chemistry. Our schedules break the information you will be learning this year down into 36
week long topics. We use a specific "spine" to guide our year of study, and additional readings from books that deepen understanding of
the topics. This year the books are not broken down into age appropriate levels. This is because chemistry is an abstract subject and
therefore the majority of the information presented will be geared toward a 3rd through 6th grade level. If you have younger children
that will be tagging along do not worry. There are plenty of fun experiments and activities for younger kids to join in on. You can still
use this curriculum with one child or
multiple age groups.
