Nature journaling is a wonderful way to go deeper with your study of plants and animals. Keeping a Nature Journal provides a variety of ideas and insights on nature journaling (see our review on the Curriculum Review page). Nature journaling suggestions are scheduled throughout the animals and plants units. You will need to purchase a Nature Journal or just a simple sketch pad. Also, you may wish to purchase a variety of field guides to identify the plants and animals you come across. Our family loves to bird watch...thus the bird guide.
