| Exploring Creation with Zoology and Exploring Creation with Botany provide more detailed information on the topics covered in each of the units in the schedule. These books are appropriate for the older student who needs more than the basic information and for curious younger child who ask a lot of questions. The Human Body serves as a guide to the experiments scheduled throughout the year. |

| Nature Journaling Materials |
| Nature journaling opens up the world of nature to the child of all ages. Keeping a Nature Journal provides a variety of ideas and insights on nature journaling. Filled with beautiful illustrations, this excellent resource offers tips for documenting what you see, pointers on sketching and water coloring, suggestions for keeping accurate records, ideas for teaching nature journaling to a group, and much more (see our review on the Curriculum Review page). Nature journaling suggestions are scheduled throughout the animals and plants units. You will need to purchase a Nature Journal or just a simple sketch pad. Also, you may wish to purchase a variety of field guides to identify the plants and animals you come across. Our family loves to bird watch...thus the bird guide. |
